Learning and Growing

At 18 months of age, our waddlers move to our Toddler classroom where they will begin the next stage of their development.  Our toddlers learn about cause and effect as well as empathy for their classmates.  At this stage, it is vital to build on their language skills and give them the proper ways of getting their needs met and asserting their needs with respect for others.  Toddlers are at a point where they are absorbing knowledge and we get to witness them evolve from babies into little people.  It is important to encourage this growth with strong guidance so that they can learn and thrive together.

Our staff assists with potty training and reaching the next developmental milestones.  Curriculum at this stage is hands on and the children learn through play as well as planned curriculum and projects.  Toddlers are always on the go and they get ample opportunities to move and learn through their senses and interests.  Toddlers will learn to follow directions and become more independent with our daily routines and activities.  We happily encourage them to do things for themselves and show them encouragement and excitement over each of their achievements.

When kids begin to explore their talents and specialties, one of the areas some may excel in is painting. Even though painting may not be every childs cup of tea, it sure does have benefits that both you and your child can learn from together.
