Skilled & Caring

Our teachers are passionate, loving, and enjoy teaching children.  Our lead and assistant teachers are required to take mandated state trainings through WA DCYF (Department of Children, Youth & Families) as well as Basic Stars 30-hour training.  They are required to keep up with their annual 10 hours of state approved trainings.  This helps to ensure that our teachers are qualified in early childhood development and are continuing to further their professional knowledge.

Teachers must meet many state-regulated requirements that are updated and verified continuously.  Through their observations and guidance,  we can better plan curriculum that focuses on the children’s individual needs and abilities.

Planning for Student Success

Our teaching staff plans curriculum and activities for the children with outcomes and goals in mind to help build on the knowledge and skills of the children.  Our teachers also help with each of the children’s individual goals such as potty training.  Part of our daily routines and interactions help children to listen and follow directions, giving our children opportunities to do as much for themselves as possible.  Giving them these self-help skills helps to build confidence and autonomy.
